At the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025, Honor introduced its latest flagship wearable, the Magic 5 Ultra smartwatch. This premium device combines advanced health monitoring features, robust design, and extended battery life, aiming to set a new standard in the smartwatch market.

Design and Display

The Magic 5 Ultra boasts a distinctive octagonal design, crafted from Grade 5 titanium, known for its strength and lightweight properties. Complementing this is a sapphire crystal glass display, offering enhanced scratch resistance. The 1.5-inch LTPO AMOLED screen delivers a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels and supports a 60Hz refresh rate, ensuring smooth visuals. The LTPO technology allows for an always-on display while optimizing power consumption.

Health and Fitness Features

Honor has integrated comprehensive health monitoring tools into the Magic 5 Ultra. The Quick Health Scan feature provides instant readings of heart rate, blood oxygen levels (SpO₂), stress levels, and even electrocardiogram (ECG) data. Additionally, the Healthy Morning Report offers users a summary of their previous day’s health metrics, including sleep quality and recovery insights. The smartwatch supports over 100 sports modes, including a 40-meter free diving mode, and is rated 5ATM for water resistance and IP68 for dust and water protection.

Battery Life and Charging

One of the standout features of the Magic 5 Ultra is its impressive battery life. Equipped with a 480mAh battery, the smartwatch can last up to 15 days under typical usage. It also supports wireless charging and reverse charging, allowing users to power the device using compatible Honor smartphones.

Software and Compatibility

Running on MagicOS 7.2, the Magic 5 Ultra is compatible with devices running Android 9.0 or later and iOS 13.0 or later. It features 8GB of internal storage for apps and offline music playback. Navigation is facilitated through a rotating crown and a secondary button, providing intuitive control over the device’s functions.

Pricing and Availability

The Honor Magic 5 Ultra is priced at €279 (approximately $289) and is available in Europe. It comes in two color options: black with a fluoroelastomer strap and brown with a leather strap.
